This homepage will therefore not further be updated.

However, many of the projects started within the LOEWE Research Cluster are continued in newly established Research Clusters, e.g. SFB/TRR 81 „Chromatin Changes in Differentiation and Malignancy“.

Furthermore, many of the scientists starting their projects within the LOEWE-Research Cluster will continue their research program at the newly established ZTI (Zentrum für Tumor- und Immunbiologie; Center of Tumor- and Immunobiology) at the University of Marburg. At the moment the ZTI building is erected and will start operation at the end of 2013.

Welcome to the homepage of the LOEWE Research cluster (Schwerpunktprogramm) ‚Tumor and inflammation’ established in 2008 at the universities of Marburg and Giessen.

Here you will find detailed information about the scientific background of the research program, the projects and the groups involved. Our goal is to elucidate the complex relationship of tumor-, inflammatory- and stromal cell interactions and their significance for tumor growth and development.
