Elena Puccetti’s Young Investigator Group was recently installed by the DFG at the Institute for Molecular Biology and Tumor Research (IMT), Philipps-Universität Marburg. This new group is embedded in the SFB/TR17 Marburg/Würzburg "Ras pathways in human cancer".

We focus our research on the role of high molecular weight complex formation for the leukemogenic potential of leukemia associated fusion proteins.

A better understanding of the composition of the high molecular weight complex formation by leukemia associated fusion protein and their influence on the signalling pathways controlled by their components would contribute to a better understanding of the pathogenesis of leukaemia and the definition of new therapeutic targets.
