The Microarray Unit has acquired the 25K human shRNA library
generated at the NKI (see Kolfschoten IG et al. A genetic screen
identifies PITX1 as a suppressor of RAS activity and tumorigenicity.
Cell. 2005 Jun 17;121(6):849-58.) and a corresponding mouse shRNA
library that is still unpublished.
Currently, Michael Wanzel (Wanzel@IMT.Uni-Marburg.DE) is establishing
the required screening technologies. In 2006, the microarray unit will
acquire an automated confocal microscope (see: pdf file) and
set up automated screens in order to identify novel cancer-relevant
genes.
